If you have the budget, why don’t you organize a house party where you celebrate the ending of a good summer?
Or if you don’t have the budget, have your friends as party organizers so you plan together as a group and each of you can contribute to the expenses of the party.
Cramming? That’s the reason I’m here.
1.) Select a theme- a party is always best celebrated with a theme, here are some samples you can choose from. (FYI. the themes are all original, no copy paste)
--> Summer Blast- FULL OF COLOR.This theme should be super colorful, and should speak about how great your summer went, buy
lots of colorful papers, glitters, and more colorful stuff, you can serve assorted flavored shakes,
ham sandwiches, fries with ketchups, hotdogs with marshmallows, as long as it’s colorful.
--> Summer in Hollywood- SPARKLY.End your summer with a
glamorous party having ‘Summer in Hollywood’ as your theme. You’ll be needing lots of foil papers, either more of silver, or gold for the glam feel. While for the foods
this goes better with a heavier meal, how about pasta and garlic bread? You can also serve margaritas in transparent wine glasses as drinks.
--> Dance Party- FUTURISTICIf you feel so alive then this one’s best for you. This theme is more of the dancing and less of the eating. Make your place look
futuristic, have a ‘metallic’ dress code that the partygoers would follow.
Serve only light meals and drinks. Try Nachos with dips, potato chips, and vegetable salads with different dressings for a healthy meal.
2.) Build your team of Organizers- Carefully choose the people who’ll help you organize the party, for they will also be responsible for what would happen and how the party will go. You can choose your friends.
3.) Know your budget and don’t overspend- It is important that you know your budget, it’s also important that you know how to choose quality items in cheaper prices.
4.) Plan the Party- Is it going to be a open party? A private party? Or a programmed party? Plan from the smallest details, it matters.
--> Make the Guest List- If it’s a private party, make a list of the people who would come to the party so that you know many food you’ll prepare. Having a guest list on a private party also eases the work of the organizers since you know the people at your party.
--> Plan your Menu- Plan this according to your theme. Buy enough food so that the party won’t be ruined because you had food shortage.
--> Set your time- 3 hours is enough for a party, don’t make it too long, the longer the time, the more responsibility you have to take. Make a specific time.
--> Budget the money- You have to be money-wise when it comes to shopping for the things you’ll need at the party such as the food, decorations, and miscellaneous expenses. Know the things you need. Write them on a paper to prevent buying unnecessary stuff.
--> Buy the things needed- You should do this a week before the party, so you and your organizers won’t have to cram during the party.
--> Send the invitations- If it’s an open party, you can just PM your guests through Facebook or Multiply. But if it’s a private party, send the invitation one week before the party. To save money, you can just print the invitation in colored or specialty papers.
--> Decorate the venue- Decorating can be done a day before the party. Check the tables, the chairs, and the lightings. Make your theme stand out.
5.) Party Time! – Finally! The party you’ve been waiting for. But don’t forget that you are the organizer of the party so what happens there is your responsibility, have a little house rule to keep everything in order. Party all night but watch your guests. After the party, remember to thank your guests for coming to your after-summer party. You can also give souvenirs and giveaways to your guests.
YEY. IT’S PARTYTIME!
Hope I’ve helped you with these.
